Blastomycosis - Usually it is a chronic infection. It is characterized by the formation of suppurative and granulomatous lesions in any part of the body. Blastomyces dermatitis is the causative agent. It is a soil borne fungus and hence inhalation of soil particles containing the fungus produces the infection.
