Brucellosis - Brucellosis is a disease of human, animals and birds. In human beings the disease is characterized by generalized aches and pains of the muscles and joints. Prolonged undulating fever, headache and chill are other symptoms.
The causative agent is Brucella suis which is of a common occurrence in infected swines. Inhalation of the aerosol during processing the infected swine causes infection in human. Thus, it is mainly an occupational disease among veterinarian, butcher and slaughter house workers
