Cryptococcosis- In the case of cryptococcosis most infections are asymptomatic. Pulmonary cryptococcosis leads to mild pneumonitis. Causative agent is the yeast Cryptococcus neoformans. It is a soil saprophyte. Infection is acquired by inhalation of soil particles containing the causative agent.
