Meningococcal Meningitis

Meningococcal Meningitis - The disease is characterized by nasal secretion, sore throat, head ache, fever, pain in the neck and back and loss of mental alertness. It is a fatal disease. The causative microorganism is Neisseria meningitidis. Droplets containing meningococci, expelled from patients, convalescent or healthy carriers transmit the disease.
