Plenum Ventilation

Plenum Ventilation - This is the most frequently used system in general purpose operating rooms. Here atmospheric air is filtered in two stages. First stage uses a coarse filter to remove dust and debris. Secondly a bacterial filter of about 2µm pore size with 95 percent efficiency is used inside the inlet grill. Some air may be recirculated within the suite. An exhaust system removes the air to the outside.
