Carbon Cycle

Carbon Cycle
Carbon cycle is the driving force behind nearly all nutrient cycling reactions involving organic sulphur, nitrogen or phosphorus. Any biologically synthesised organic compound can be decomposed by soil microbes. This theory was first proposed by a famous soil microbiologist Martin Alexander.

If this were not true, then there would be vast accumulation of undecomposed carbon compounds. Any organic compound that contains energy in reduced bonds is ultimately used as an energy source. The carbon cycle is the greatest natural recycler of carbon atoms.
