Eutrophic Lakes

Eutrophic Lakes - Eutrophic lakes are those which have a high nutrient content. They are shallower than the oligotrophic lakes. Because of the high nutrient content, extensive aerobic decomposition of organic matter occurs in eutrophic lakes. And this makes them to have a low dissolved oxygen concentration. However, they are characterized by very high primary productivity.
