Flow Cytometry- Flow cytometers or flourescence activated cell sorters are instruments which analyze optical parameters of many individual cells in a short space of time. The sample flows through an orifice and across the path of a light source, usually a laser. Optical parameters like light scatter and fluorescence are measured on each cell by photodetectors.
