Initiation Process In Translation In Protein Synthesis -

(a) mRNA binding. mRNA is attached to the 30S complex. Initiation factors IF-3 and Mg++ arc required.

(b) fMet-tRNA binding. fMet-tRNA is attached to the initiation codon A.UG of  mRNA. Initiation factors IF-1 and IF-2 and GTP are required.

(c) Subunit junction. The above complex is attached to the 50S subunit to form the complete imitation complex (70S).
