Range Of Anitibiotic Actions

Range Of Anitibiotic Actions - Certain, antibiotics, e.g. penicillin and streptomycin are effective only against a few types of bacteria, and are hence known as narrow spectrum antibiotics. Others like tetracyclines and chloramphenicol act against a large number of species, which may be unrelated. Such antibiotics are called broad spectrum antibiotics.
