Membrane
-
The
structure
of
the
cytoplasmic
membrane
appears
to
be
similar
to
the "unit
membrane" and
consists
of
lipoproteins
as
in
the
bacteria.
In
addition
to
the
cytoplasmic
membrane,
yeasts
and
fungal
cells
have
a
multiplicity
of
unit
membrane
systems
(endoplasmic
reticula)
and
these
internal
unit
membrane
systems
appear
to
serve
in
segregation
of
many
of
the
functional
components

specialized
and
partly
isolated
regions.
