Fungal Ribosomes -

Next to mitochondria, ribosomes are major structures found in the fungal cytoplasm.

These, unlike the procaryotic ribosomes, are of 80 S type and can be disscciated into 40 Sand 60 S units but contain similar structural components as the bacterial ribosomes
