Meselson And Radding Model - The original Meselson and Radding model (1975) for the mechanisms of strand transfer bas been elaborated by Radding (1978). The mechanisms involved are strand displacement, uptake, loop cleavage, assimilation, isomerization and branch migration. All these mechanisms have been observed in vitro, with the exception of isomerization.
