Outer Membrane - Cell Wall - The outer membrane is morphologically similar to the cytoplasmic membrane, but contains less phospholipid and fewer proteins.

It contains a unique carbohydrate component called lipopolysaccharide (LPS).

The outer membrane contains at least four different major protein component8, plus another major protein called lipoprotein.
