Negative Regulation Genes

Negative Regulation Genes - The repressor required for maintenance of the prophage in the lysogenic condition is determined by gene cI. The products of the cII and cIII genes have an accessory role to cI in lysogenization.

The cI product acts on two sites on the DNA. The cro ( tor, fed) gene product reduces the expression of genes d, N, exo and xis.
