Replication in Lambda Phage - Prophage replication takes place under the control of the host by the normal bacterial DNA replication mechanism. The replication of the prophage along with the bacterial DNA indirectly contributes to viral growth. Each bacterial cell carrying a prophage is a potential producer of phage particles.
