Endonuclease IV

Endonuclease IV
- Endonuclease IV is coded by the denB gene. It causes degradation of host DNA, but has no effect on T4 DNA. It works through an alternate pathway. It catalyses some breakdown of DNA in mutants lacking bolh endonuclease II and add function. III acts, preferentially on ssDNA.
