Phages - The life cycle of Ff phages may be divided into the following stages:
(1) attachment of the phage to the bacterial cell,
(2) entry of the phage into the host cell,
(3) formation of the replicative form (SS -+ RF),
(4) RF replication (RF -YRF).
(5) single strand synthesis (RF -+ S8), and (6) maturation of the virus particle
