Nucleases in Phage T4
- There are nine known endonucleases in phage T4, infection, and the existence of four others is presumed. These enzymes take part in DNA replication, DNA repair, genetic recombination, degradation of host DNA and DNA maturation. Endonucleases II-VI produce 5'-p and -OH-terminated breaks.
