Chloropham
This is an example of herbicides that are esters of carbamic acid known as carbamates or carbanilates. Many others of this class have been discontinued but chloropham is used as an inhibitor of sprouts in potatoes. The microorganisms that degrade chloropham are Pseudomonas, Flavobacterium, Agrobacterium and Achromobacter.
