Diazinon
This insecticide comes under the class heterocyclic derivatives. The term heterocylic denotes that the ring structures are composed of unlike atoms, one or more of the carbon atoms being displaced by oxygen, nitrogen or sulphur and the ring may have 3, 5, or 6 atoms. In the case of diazinon, the 6 membered ring contains 2 nitrogen atoms.
