Antibody-Mediated Resistance

Antibody-mediated Resistance
Antibody-mediated protection (akin to hybridoma-derived monoclonal antibodies) from only two plant viruses (TMV and artichoke mottle crinckle virus) are known. The mode of action of antibodies appears to be through neutralization of viral surface proteins in a way that intervenes the initial establishment of infection.
