Flukes,Miracidium,Cercaria,Metacercaria

Flukes,Miracidium,Cercaria,Metacercaria - The flukes (trematodes) are broad leaf like with oral suckers for attachment to host tissue. From fertilised eggs many ciliated forms called a miracidium develop. The miracidium penetrates a snail where it is transformed into a cercaria. It is then released as an encysted metacercaria and makes its way back to the human in this form.
