Inbreeding
The process of mating of individuals which are more closely related than the average of the population to which they belong, is called inbreeding. For example, the self-fertilization in plants is an extreme type of inbreeding. While the marriage between brothers and sisters or first cousins is the another familiar example of inbreeding among higher animals.
