Cyanellae
- These
are
blue
green
bacterial
endosymbionts
of
protozoa.
They
are
found
in
a
few
genera
of
freshwater
protozoa
as
Cyanophora,
Peliaina
and
Paulinella.
Paulinella
contains
from
one
to
six
cyanellae.
The
cyanellae
were
discovered
by
A.
Pascher
in
1929.
