reservoirs
of

diseases.
These
reservoirs
serve
as
continuing
source
of
disease
agents,
and
are
important
in
perpetuating
the
disease.
In
smallpox,
the
sole
reservoir
of
viruses
is
humans.
Meningococcal
meningitis
and
diphtheria
also
have
humans
as
reservoirs
