Weathering Process

Changes, disintegrations and decompositions caused by the action of the atmospheric agents on rocks and minerals at or near the surface of the earth is called the weathering process.

Weathering is of three types:
1. physical or mechanical weathering
2. chemical weathering
3. biological weathering
