Golgi
Apparatus -
The
golgi
apparatus
is
a
membranous
organelle
found
in
the
eucaryotic
cells
and
consists
of
densely
packed
mass
of
flattened
sacks
and
vessels
of
varying
size.
Its
suggested
functions
are
packaging
of
both
proteinaceous
and
nonproteinaceous
materials
synthesised
in
the
endoplasmic
reticulum
and
their
transport
to
other
parts
of
the
cell.
Sometimes
these
structures
merge
with
the
ER
and
liberate
their
contents
to
the
exterior
of
the
cell,
a
process
referred
to
as
exocytosis.
