Inhibitors -
They
block
DNA
replication.
In
particular
quinolones
interfere
with
DNA
gyrase,
preventing
the
establishment
of
replication
fork.
The
quinolones
include
nalidixic
acid,
ciprofloxicin,
norfloxicin,
amifloxicin
and
enoxicin,
effective
against
a
range
of
Gram
positive
and
Gram
negative
bacteria.
