Low Temperature Storgage

Low Temperature Storage method, cultures are frozen in the presence of a protective agent such as glycerol or dimethylsulfoxide in liquid nitrogen (- 196°C). This procedure has been successful with many organisms which cannot be preserved by lyophilization.
