Reovirus
Group -
The
Reoviridae
have
quasi
spherical
caps
ids
60-80
nm
in
diameter,
and
their
genome
consists
of
10-12
molecules
of
dsRNA.
The
combined
molecular
weight
of
the
RNA
is
15x
106 daltons.
Four
groups
are
included
in
the
Reoviridae,
of
which
three
contain
animal
viruses
and
one
plant
viruses.
(1) Orthoreorirus (reovirus) of vertebrates.
(2) Orbivirus of insects and vertebrates.
(3) Cytoplasmic polyhedrosis viruses (CPV) of insects.
(4) Plant viruses (vectors are leafhoppers).
