Tombusvirus
Group - Tombusviruses are isometric viruses with undivided genome.
Turnip crinkle virus (TCV) has an icosahedral praticle 29 nm wide with a characteristic dense core.
The particle weight is about 9x 106 daltons. It contains 17% RNA of MW 1.5x106. The virion contains 180 molecules of major coat protein (MW 41,000) and two minor polypeptides (MW 84,000 and 28,000).
The former is probably a polymerase, and is present at one chain per particle. The latter is a cleavage product of the major coat protein.
