Algicidal
Non
Fruiting
Myxobacteria - The death of natural populations of green algae and cyanobacteria is often caused by myxobactetia. Many of these algicidal forms have not been observed to form fruiting bodies, so their taxonomic position is uncertain. Their DNA base composition is similar to that of fruiting myxobacteria (69 to 71 mole per cent G+C).
