Integrator Genes -

An integrator gene may be associated with a sensor gene, or several integrators may be associated with a sensor.

The integrator gene sends out a specific signal (molecule) to other genes when the sensor gene is activated.

When several integrators are associated with a single sensor, the sensor can initiate a variety of signals.
