Stain For Polysaccharides
Polysaccharide granules are found to be present in cytoplasm, apart from their presence in other subcellular structures like capsule, cell wall, cell membrane etc. They are important constituents of cell as well as they act as reserve source of food. Accumulation of polysaccharides in cell depends upon many factors e.g. cultural condition, medium composition, age of cell etc.
