Vaccines
Viral vaccines are the most common method of control of viral diseases. A number of vaccines have been developed. Two types of vaccines nave been developed.
1. Inactivated
viruses - viruses
treated
with
physical
agent
as
heat
or
chemical
as
formaldehyde.
Example:
Salk
vaccine
for
polio.
2 Attenuated
viruses -
replicating
at
low
rate
in
body
cells.
Example:Sabine
vaccine.
