Virus

particles
have
been
reported
in
Aulacomonas
submarina,
Chara
corralina,
Oedogonium
sp.,
Platymonas
sp.,
Radio
filum
sp.,
Uronema
gigas,
and
a
few
other
algae.
Bacteriophage
like
virus
particles "have
been
found
in
Chlorella,
and
have
been
called
chlorellophages.
The tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) has been reported in diseased plants of Chara corralina. The particles contain ssRNA.
