Viral Gastroenteritis

Viral Gastroenteritis - About six groups of viruses have been reported to cause gastroenteritis and have been isolated from contaminated drinking water and recreational waters.
These include rotaviruses, Norwalk like agents, caliciviruses, astroviruses, other small round structured viruses (SRSV) and enteric adenoviruses.
Gastroenteritis is common among infants and children. Symptoms include diarrhoea, vomiting and sometimes fever.
